| Description | While talking to friends new to the game about galaxy setup, it came to my attention that they always started with the default choice of homeworld location because they had no idea they could select another homeworld on the map screen. Which is fair enough, I must admit, since there's no indication that this is an option. Veterans from AI War 1 expect it of course, but for newcomers it isn't obvious. Thus I suggest adding "Click on planet to select homeworld" to the Galaxy Setup - Map Options screen somewhere. Perhaps centered horizontally under the top bar. (Artist's rendetion attached.) | ||||

Having some explicit UI pointing out you can change your start planet sounds like a good idea. This has consistently confused people in both AIWC and AIW2. Making a "Tip" for this isn't as good as just having a UI element. |
