| Description | Background/Problem: 1) I routinely play with trains on 10 and I have never directly observed a single effect being triggered -- mostly because I tend to kill trains before they get to their destination. This faction is currently a major buff to the player when enabled 2) More mechanics in theme with trains could make this faction more engrossing Proposal 1) Give trains a health buff, vampirism, and/or repair at train station functionality to make these more likely to reach final destination 2) Either a new train (Resupply Train) or refit existing trains to be able to warp in new guard posts (like usurprers) on AI controlled planets. This would open up a new way for the AI to "reconquest" territory without an actual usurper, or rather, let the AI shore up a vulnerable planet. Trains are still a net buff to players, even at the highest intensities (perhaps especially at highest intensities) A thematic universal buff could allow trains to unleash a bunch of ships if they are attacked. Perhaps unleashing a portion at certain thresholds of damage taken to their hulls. Trains can replenish their ships by X% whenever they reach a train station |
