Microsoft can't reliably get this to work, you know. Once something has crashed past a certain point, our code doesn't work. We'd have to have a companion application to really make this work. Unity does have something built-in, but it's not my favorite thing and I'm not sure that it works all that well. |

By "crash" I also mean the exceptions the game traps and displays. Most people just hit "ignore" and don't report them. Actually those are more useful to gather than actual Unity engine crashes we couldn't necessarily do something about. |

I don't feel comfortable gathering that sort of information from people's systems period, since the ArcenDebugLog includes a non-trivial amount of information about your system specs, including steam username. If people want to volunteer that then great, but otherwise I would vote against this on privacy grounds.

It would be opt-in like my telemetry suggestion. Though Steam is already packed full of telemetry (achievement stats, what you have installed, time you played, what you clicked on the store, ...), just as are most Steam games, so people who worry about that about that shouldn't install Steam in the first place. |
