Summary0020888: Suggestion: Hack to reclaim arc off of AI owned/neutral world
DescriptionAlthough 20 AIP is not much of a downside to reclaiming your lost arc, considering you also get 2000 science and 30 hacking and energy/metal, sometimes you just don't want to take a world and need to stretch your defenses.

My thought on balancing is either 30 or 40 hacking points to make this a very costly option, and then somewhere around 4 minutes of hacking to reclaim your arc with full HP. I assume the enemy ships should spawn on the arc itself, both for a lore sense of wanting to keep the arc out of the human's hands, and so that the hack is usable in neutral space like a nanocaust world (where you'd be even less inclined to take the 20 AIP hit without the benefit of knowledge/hackpoints).

I think being required to pay the AIP price to reclaim your lost vessels is an entirely appropriate penalty. You can always not defend the planet and then let the AI recapture it. Losing your Ark is intended to be a Bad Thing with Real Consequences.

I agree with Badger. It's a huge improvement from classic imo that certain unique ships (eg., golems) are reclaimable. But the consequences of losing these units should be comparably severe

Losing an Ark/Golem is a bad thing, and it's good that there should be high consequences for it.
