Summary0020509: Asteroids are pure black without lighting
DescriptionThe asteroid belt that rings the playable space on each planet is rendered completely black. This is both non-physical looking and hard to read against dark backgrounds (the pure starfield for instance, which is mostly black). Obviously you don't spend much time looking at them in normal play, but it would look better if they were lit directionally the way planets are, with visible contrast against various backgrounds, even if they are not textured.

As an aside, maybe some planets could have rings or something different so they don't ALL have identical asteroid belts.

I think some tweaks need to be made, if only for the dark-backgrounded planets that make the ring very hard to see. In general I really like darker backgrounds, but the asteroids need some love.

Might be better with the new lighting. Can still be a bit hard to see but feels easier.

I did improve these a bit, but making them too bright just feels... off... when I did that much. So it's still pretty dim.

We'll call that done-enough, at least, with the new lighting. Cheers!
