This feature used to exist, but it was removed because I think it was mostly just a distraction and didn't really add anything to gameplay. Chris can comment further though when he has the chance |

Yep, this was something that people were really railing against, and we took out because all it adds is disorientation. In general we clamped down on the movement styles on the galaxy map a lot, by popular request (no more tilting, either, for instance). It seems to be the most popular way to handle it, at least for now, so I'm going to focus elsewhere for now unless it becomes a large issue. |
