Summary0021284: Hacking of the AI Subverion node seems like a guaranteed lose
DescriptionI tried this with about 650 strength forces (several thousand ships) on the planet surrounding the node including about 6 citadels with all turrets deployed. Very quickly my forces were totally overwhelmed and within about a minute there were more than 100,000 AI ships going through my planets like they were brownies at the company picnic, and I quickly lost. I get that this is supposed to be a hard thing to pull off, but it seems just a tad extreme. The ratio of AI points recovered to number of new, angry AI ships bouncing around in my backyard made it seem not worth it at all.

Do you mean the superterminal? If so, uploading a save game where I could see this happening and get a sense of what balance makes sense would be appreciated.

Some decent sized nerfs have been handed out to superterminal hacking responses. I was able to hack for 30 AIP without losing control of the battle.

Note that you may want to play a huge battle like this out at a slower game speed, since the targeting code seems to struggle to let you kill off enough units.
