Summary0009759: Carrier unit combination fails to work
DescriptionI've been having a rather odd bug for the last couple of versions now- Whenever a carrier is prematurely killed to release it's units, if there's already so many AI units that it needs to combine them, it overdoes it just a bit- it 'combines' them all the way down to 0 units- I killed a 26,000 ship CPA in 30 seconds in my last game by pre-popping the carriers this way. Don't have that save on this computer, but in this one the reproduce (for me) is:
Pause
Go to Great Wall.
Instruct the fortress Mk1's to pop all three carriers in quick succession.
Unpause.
At least 4/5 times, for me, at least one of the carriers will combine to 0 units.

It would work better with more carriers and an artillery golem, but I know it works in this save.

Screenshot shows the message saying it's 0 - that was a thousand ship carrier that was popped.


19/10/2012:
Updated with another save that reproduces more reliably- because there's 20 carriers. Spire fleet is next door on Dun Mora. Screenshot shows typical ratio of correct to uncorrect ones- now if only the spire fleet didn't muck things up by killing stuff so fast. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the report and save :) Hopefully this one will give me a reproducible case; I've seen this reported multiple times before but every time I tried to load the save and reproduce the bug it would behave exactly as intended.

Naturally it waits until I'm not looking ;)
