Summary0009748: Tools as weapons for non-gray enemies
DescriptionGrays are dim-witted super villains and iron is their kryptonite. However, this doesn't hold true for wolves, snakes, gators, etc. The iron sickle can already kill animals, yet the scythe cannot. I think that all tools you can swing should cause damage to non-grays.

The scythe, axe, and sledge hammer would cause heavy damage, while the regular hammer, shovel, and whip would be much weaker.

I don't think this would break any puzzles because killing animals is never necessary to complete a level. It might make some of them easier, however, so a review of some levels would be beneficial if we implement this.

I don't think this is a good idea. Even the wolves and such are supernaturally altered to a degree, so we're covered on the story front. But making it so that all non-gray enemies can be killed with whatever is lying around would really constrain level desin enormously. This is a place where I place gameplay over story, although even so the story isn't even in conflict here.

Yeah, thinking about the big picture, players would be thinking of these enemies as something they can usually kill; empowering them like that takes away from the fear and vulnerability they're supposed to experience.

I'll include some brief text in the tutorial that explains that enemy creatures can't be killed by ordinary means. "You got the sledge hammer! Just don't try to use it as a weapon!" </Megaman announcement> :)
