Summary0009483: Regenerated AI ships through Neinzul Scapegoats trigger Neinzul Clusters
DescriptionRegenerated AI ships through Neinzul Scapegoats trigger Neinzul Clusters (the things that the Neinzul nester AI type likes to use).

Or rather, whatever planet the regenerated ships get sent to, the neinzul nests near or on it get triggered, as if there was a human ship there.

The save is from slightly before a wave from an AI with Neinzul scapegoats arrive.

This sort of thing may also extend to other alert triggered structures; I haven't tested yet.

In any case, I can say for sure that this is going to be an interesting game. ;)

This also happens for other forms of regeneration (regen golem or train) and Neinzul nests.

Will take a look, thanks.

FYI, nests don't trigger on human ship presence, they trigger on AI ships dying on their planet or an adjacent one.

I know. I think they are *also* triggered by regenerated AI ships appearing next to them, which would be a bug. However, this is a note rather than its own report because I am not certain it is the case. It seems similar enough to likely have the same underlying cause.

Lol. Last night I attacked a planet, and that planet happened to have an astro regenerator train on it.
Lo and behold, the combined triggered nests from the regenerated ships was like 1200, with a substantial amount of them being Mk. IV and V younglings. I did survive (thanks to stall and defense in depth), but boy did it hurt. :P
(keep in mind, this was still somewhat early in the game, before my defenses were finished being completley setup)
