Summary | 0009678: Shaped minefields
Description | How about a way to shape minefields? What I mean is have a command to lay down a string of mines at once. Not sure whether it would be better to have an option where you can click and drag how long you want your line to be or if it should be set to a default of 8 or so mines that is adjustable in the In Game Controls. Although in this case you would need to plan on a way to rotate the string so it can be placed how you want it. Another idea I had is a command to be able to choose a spot with the mouse and lay down a ring of minds around the spot you click. I often use a ring of mines around wormholes which are in high risk systems. It would lay down mines in a single ring as close to the spot you click as possible. Just an idea to make mines a little easier to place. I tend to go to the trouble to place them manually.

Before the port to the Unity engine, there was a "construction template" thing, where it would save the relative positions of several structures, and you could build new sets of structures with positions like in the template. It would be nice if that could come back. |
